FAQ

TA doesn't update to a new version

TA should check for update upon each application start. If you still have old version, go to control panel -> java (or type java control panel in the start menu) -> temporary internet files -> view -> find TA and press "run online" or delete it and run again from this web. Details here.

How does it work?

TA downloads html pages from the server and sends requests back in the same way as when you click in the browser.

Is it allowed to use this bot?

No. Travian rules do not allow to use any bots. You use TA at your own risk.

Will you steal my password/account?

No. Passwords are saved in a file %home%/.traviaut/servers.cfg and are sent to the server in the same way your browser sends them. TA will not send the passwords to any other site. Just check it with a firewall.

What's that UA (UserAgent) thing?

It will help TA to look like your browser. Just go to whatsmyuseragent.com and fill your UA in the settings dialog.

TA doesn't upgrade a resource field to level 11 in the main village

TA doesn't know that it is the main village. Upgrade one field to lvl 11 manually and it will start build them again.

I need a help, TA doesn't work

Try to find yourself. If you really don't know, send me an email (it's in the beginning of the log) with the log. It can happen, that I'll need an access to your account. I'll use it just to find the cause of the problem.

Can I donate development of this project?

Yes, there is a button in the program or on this webpage.

How trading works?

TA can supply buildings or crop for the army. It runs after the target village is updated.
  1. The merchants that TA sent recently to the target village have to arrive first. TA doesn't detect any merchants sent by the player (or by TA before you restarted it).
  2. The target village has to be enabled (green button).
  3. The resources are sent only from villages that are not enabled (not green) (to prevent sending back and forth).
  4. The amounts are rounded down to whole 100s.
  5. There is an "amount of minimal trade" check to prevent frequent sending of a few resources. For example, if this is set to 25%, TA will wait for at least 25% of hour production of the source village if bigger amount is needed. If the production is 1000 (25% is 250), 500 is needed and there is only 200 in the village, TA will skip that one.
  6. There have to be some merchants available in the source village of course.
Buildings - see "build supply limit".
Army - if there is crop for less than 2 hours, TA will try to get crop for 8 hours (or up to granary max) to that willage. I'll make this configurable in the future.
